Who we are and Why do we stand out.

Simply: we are entrepreneurs.

Not just entrepreneurs at heart who did some work in setting up a strategic business unit in our former jobs or having organised some nice events that made a difference to our organisation. These are important and profoundly meaningful work, but this is not how we define entrepreneurship.

As entrepreneurs, we started our own businesses. We experienced the excitement of incubating an idea, and the dismay of seeing how it didn’t quite meet our hypothesis, and the thrill of seeing a positive response from our target audience only to find out that we needed to go back to the drawing board to redesign our offering. We are familiar with the feeling of cloud nine when we pitched to an investor and got funded, just as we have intimate knowledge of how we could lose our companies when funding ran out, or the consolation that we brought our brainchild to an exit point of being acquired or listed on the stock exchange.

Throughout this journey, we grappled with having to balance ambition with cost, challenge with motivation, care with decisiveness. We inspired and led teams and had to make tough decisions when our team members didn’t perform to expectations.

We understand all this.

And we bring our collective expertise, network and resources to our venture enterprise partners. If we really feel drawn to the venture, we may also invest in its early stages.

Our team is led by principals who started and ran ventures that achieved annual revenues north of US100m and operated in more than 10 countries.

We are entrepreneurs first.

And we value the excitement that comes with believing an idea could mature into a ground breaking solution that could change the world.
